Man Utd want Spurs target Konoplyanka

Tottenham and Liverpool have both been interested in Dnipro star Yevhen Konoplyanka.

Man Utd want Spurs target Konoplyanka

Liverpool almost signed him on the last day of the  January transfer window only for the Ukranians to change their minds again.

The 24 year-old is now a target for Manchester United but the reported £12 million may not be enough to get him. There are suggestions emerging from Dnipro that there is a release clause in his contract but don't mention what that figure is. Depending upon which report you read Liverpool offered between £12 million to £16 million for him.

"Officially, there’s a specific amount for which we don’t have the right to not release Konoplyanka. If Man United offer favourable conditions and agree terms with Konoplyanka, then no one can do anything."

If there were such a figure then surely his agent would have told Liverpool in January so it sounds more like a transfer fee they want and then they'll release him.

Buying the player dubbed the Ukranian Messi won't be easy as his clubs and it seems clubs in that part of the world change their minds frequently and often at the last minute.

Tottenham nearly signed Willian, he had a medical before two Russian friends came to a private agreement and the player was told he is going to Chelsea.

Dnipro have qualified for the Champions League this season which Konoplyanka was instrumental in, scoring 8 goals from the wing in 27 games.
